Our vision is to radically transform access to mental health services for the most excluded young people.
MAC-UK is working towards sharing our ideas and ways of working externally, while supporting our dedicated workforce to maintain their wellbeing and work-life balance by gradually introducing a 4 day working week.
MAC-UK is recruiting for the following roles:
Head of Resources
Contract: 18 months with possibility of extension
Salary: £45,580 – £49,519 pro rata
Hours: 30 hours per week to include flexible working
This is a role for a vibrant and passionate leader. We are looking for someone who considers finance and resource management as key to enabling social impact; someone that harnesses every opportunity to move beyond process, to build positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. You are definitely a ‘safe pair of hands’ and come with the technical skills, experience and qualification to fulfil the charity’s resource management duties, but your accountancy qualification does not define you and you have so much more to offer within your leadership repertoire.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Resources sits within MAC-UK’s Senior Leadership Team and is instrumental in supporting the Senior Leadership Team to deliver MAC-UK’s 2020 Strategy. You take pride in running a smooth, effective and efficient operation. Working across key areas of MAC-UK’s organisational management, you will not only ensure best use of MAC-UK’s internal, and where needed, inter-agency resources, but will support the CEO to visualise and realise the potential of a bold strategy for social impact.
You thrive when working at the edge of your comfort zone, step up in the face of complex problems and welcome the challenge of making systems work for the cause, not the other way around. You refuse to work within a finance silo and you actively embed yourself and your insights into and across programmes, strategy and governance. You are ambitious and looking for an opportunity to apply your business planning capabilities to an organisation on the cusp of exciting strategic change.

The charity has undergone significant change in the last few years, including the appointment of a Chief Executive to succeed the Founder in 2015 and the development of a new 2017-2020 strategic plan to build capacity beyond MAC-UK for the widest possible impact.
It is the right time for us to further strengthen and diversify the Board of Trustees as our current Chair and Treasurer, both reach the milestone of six years of dedicated leadership and successful stewardship of a vibrant and dynamic organisation with big ambitions for transformational change.
