Mental Health Practitioner

Contract: 9 months
Salary: £32,235 pro-rata
Hours: 30 hours per week to include flexible working

The Dissemination team is key to the success of MAC-UK’s long-term objective to transform mental health services for excluded young people. This team will deliver the LEARN / SHARE elements of MAC-UK’s strategic plan to 2020.

The post-holder will be an appropriately qualified & registered person supporting a MAC-UK placement team to work to the objective of ‘building the capacity’ of wider services and systems to address health and social inequalities. The post-holder will lead on elements of internal evaluation and must be able to demonstrate experience in this area in a related field of work. We aim to make mental health services more accessible, flexible and responsive to excluded groups. You will join alongside and support other services to design psychologically informed and co-produced outreach services, sharing the key principles behind the MAC-UK way of working.

You will be required to spend some of your time working as part of a MAC-UK team deployed on placements to other organisations as part of our efforts to share practice with others when working alongside multi-disciplinary teams in their contexts. With experience of working as a health or social care professional using MAC-UK’s way of working, or a similar approach based on outreach and co-production, you will take responsibility for the design, implementation and evaluation of partnership initiatives that may take the form of interactive team training, through to consulting and teaching on doctoral programmes.

Clinician – Residential & Supported Accommodation Specialist

Contract: 12­‐24months (secondments will be considered)
Salary: Dependent on experience (pro-rata)
Hours: 22.5-­30hrs/week (3-4 days)
Start date: asap

The Clinician will lead a MAC‐UK team that will work within a London‐based residential or supported accommodation setting, working with the existing local workforce, to address the health and social inequalities experienced by excluded young
people.
